The company mainly manufactures its products for the Japanese domestic market, thanks to which it offers high quality knives at an affordable price. Soft layers give Damascus steel its elasticity, and layers of high carbon steel - hardness and strength. In this case, the fragility inherent in the latter is "extinguished" by the elasticity of the soft layers. Thus, Damascus steel gets the best properties from the two metals. Due to the small amount of carbon, the linings are highly resistant to corrosion. The hardening of the blade to 61 units on the Rockwell scale indicates that the blade of such a knife does not lose its exceptional cutting properties for a very long time. Manual double-sided sharpening at a 15 degree angle and hardened cutting edge of the knives makes SATAKE knives extremely sharp.
